As the seasons change in LA it’s important to dress appropriately for your upcoming bubble soccer event. We’ll go over how to be prepared so that your event is a blast!
Footwear is the key to bubble soccer because you’ll spend the entire event trying to stay on your feet. We recommend always wearing athletic shoes and suggest shoes with ankle support and a snug fit. While we get very little rain in Southern California we still can get rain occasionally and people sometimes bring cleats however we strictly ban cleats from our events. We’ve had both bubbles and other players feet injured by cleats and the potential risk is too high. We also ban flip flops and slippers because of the danger for ankle injuries.
Keeping warm, but not to warm is the name of the game when coming out for your event. Winter is chilly in Los Angeles and our customers always want to stay warm but our bubbles are actually excellent insulators and will keep our player warm enough that they may even start sweating during our winter events. We suggest wearing multiple layers that each person can shed as they get toasty. Top layers are easier to shed mid-game so extra layers on top with a backup pair of shorts for bottoms should be enough.
If possible bring a rag or a towel to clean off your feet and booty after your game to keep you car clean after the game.
Lastly, if you wear glasses we suggest you wear contacts the day of your event or if you don’t wear contacts to bring a case for your glasses during the event as a pair of glasses is likely to go flying during your first big hit.
