Get to know your bubble

Stratus Sports Club

As strange as it may seem our players have almost never been inside a giant plastic bubble and most haven’t been near one or watched a game so they don’t know what to expect when they arrive. Bubbles aren’t scary but it’s good to know what you’re getting involved with.

Our bubbles come in at over four feet wide but the opening in the middle for a person is under two feet wide. For our players this means that each player will fit inside snugly and won’t be moving around too much but you have almost 18 inches of airbag surrounding you and protecting you from injury. Inside the bubble there are shoulder straps just like a backpack that every player must wear that helps keeps the bubble securely on them. This makes putting on our bubbles as easy as heading to school or going on a hike but is much safer than battling with bears in the woods.

The bubbles are designed to go well above each player’s head to protect you without the need for a helmet. On the bottom the bubbles extend past the hip even on tall men to protect your sides and booty from injury. Providing a thick layer of protection for all your body parts is key but this leaves your legs open for complete mobility. Running, diving, flipping, and doing the splits (for the brave) are all possible we love a good photo of a diving player.

The bubbles are also kept as light as possible while maintaining safety so that each player can play a long and fun game. We can’t wait for you to try on your first bubble and try your first game of bubble soccer!
